91. Comparisons

Some of us fret because we may not be as pretty, as intelligent, as witty... and so on- as someone else.

But such disparages do not occur only with human beings-

the only difference is:

a dandelion does not envy the rose.

90. Poets, the other side of the Coin

People may think I have been too hard on Poets-

But there is another side of the coin- read the full story on

89. The Gnawing Worm

Poetry, as all works of art, was never perceived as a therapy, it was never meant to be a convenient vehicle for the processing of one's mental indigestion...

Like a worm that gnaws away, it makes

otherwise works of art unpleasant to the palate.

Best discharge such waste in the toilet-

People will thank you for it.

88. Set-Backs

The toaster won't toast.

The PC has crashed.

The car won't start.

Your dog has leapt over the wall.

Your cat has left a token of its love-

in brown-paper wrapping....

Don't let set-backs deep-freeze in your day....

Like the falling snow that changes into water

as it touches the ground-

Let them dissolve.

87. On the Web

Gadgets on the web that identify the visitor are not well liked.

Most people like to visit and perhaps even promote you,

in silence...

without leaving traces of their footsteps on your ground for

all to see.

86. Promotion Again

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 6:16 AM Comments comments (0)
If you have something to promote,
be it yourself or an ideal,
the worst thing you can do is....

to drum it into people's head continuously.

85. Lessons from a Spider

Posted on November 18, 2010 at 8:20 AM Comments comments (4)

Most of us think we are the cat's whiskers and therefore it is well in order to promote ourselves.

Few think that the rest look upon such beings like a spider who is quite an ugly, insignificant creature to look at.

And because of that, unlike human beings, spiders, wisely, don't promote themselves.

When spiders make their presence felt it is to share themselves and leave their intricate, but nonetheless, fastidious cobweb upon our walls.

Is that what we do on other people's walls?

84. Which Season...

All life's seasons have their own delight...

But the Autumn of our life

is perhaps the most genuine.

83. A Choice

Posted on November 12, 2010 at 7:16 AM Comments comments (0)

Should I let the dull day make me drift into its stream of gloomy thoughts...

Or should I thrust a handful of brightness into the waters?

82. Gratefulness

My doggy Berrilla has a lovely story about what happened on

                                      All Souls Day

Now, I will never be able to say, ever again, I have nothing to thank God for...

if this is not a miracle....
